On July 7, 2018 (Fri), We held the opening ceremony of DBIC Singapore Innovation Program.
The event held at "thebridge", the co-working space of Ascendas-Singbridge and the satellite office of DBIC. The stakeholders who cooperated in this program and six media gathered, more than 40 people participated in this event.
Before the start of the ceremony, the Prime Minister Mrs. Ho Ching, visited this event. And Mr. Miguel Ko of Ascendas-Singbridge Group CEO also visited.
It shows the high interest of this program.
Opening remarks are Hiroshi Yokotsuka of DBIC Chairman. He announced the establishment of an open innovation platform which will become "bridge" connecting Singapore and Japan. It is a platform to solve social probrems while cooperating with various stakeholders, and it is a new beginning of DBIC.
Next, Hiroshi Nishino of DBIC deputy representative explains DBIC's introduction and program background. Then next, Aylwin Tan of Ascendas-Singbridge CCO explains about Singapore's approach to innovation.
Finally, program director Yoshi Mitsui introduced the participating members and detailed explanation of the program contents, and a big applause was sent to the members.

After the ceremony is over, we held a networking lunch session. The stakeholders and the participants who will take care of them from now will interact.
In the afternoon, we held a dialogue with Yokotsuka and Nishino on a one-to-one basis.
It is a special session where they can talk directly to the key person who lead the digital innovation in Japan. After all, the keyword is "Customer-Centric".
Program participants are beginning to reconsider their themes that they prepared. It has been a week since they came to Singapore, but they met a various start-up companies and leaders, and disscussed. So participant's chemical reaction have already begun.
